Enviro-Cycle Tour

Ever thought of experiencing the Ottawa countryside by bicycle? It’s the perfect opportunity. Not only is the Enviro-Cycle Tour happening this Sunday, September 24, the Environment Canada Weather forecast for that day is beautiful, sunny summer weather. The tour is one of the special 2017 Ottawa events to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation, and on this ride you’ll get to visit some of the eco-friendly businesses and public spaces in Ottawa’s rural area.

There are two options: you can do the full 72-km route with your own bike, or bus part way and cycle the 21-km route with a bike provided by RentABike. Whichever route you decide on, you’ll be able to visit Castor River Farm, a sustainable off-grid farm, SunTech Greenhouses, where vegetables are grown year-round, and W.A. Taylor Conservation area for a rest between, as you sample Savour Ottawa treats.
