This time of year, every parent is looking for a way for their kids to burn up the extra energy from too many Christmas cookies. The Gatineau Playground Festival is the perfect solution.
The event will take place from December 27 to 30 at Complexe Branchaud-Brière in Gatineau. Visitors will be treated to 15 different inflatable games. There will be two new amusement rides to try out as well. Perhaps the most fun for the older kids will be the sport zone where they can try out an introduction to baseball, decathlon, and curling amongst other sports. The activity that caught my eye was the hot-air balloon tethered flights offered on the outdoor field of the Complexe.
The festival is also located quite close to Parc du Lac Beauchamp which offers up some of the best cross-country skiing and skating in the region.
By the end of the day, even the most sugar cookie fuelled child should be ready to have a good sleep!
