How’s this for a recipe? Start with nibbles from some of the city’s best chefs, add samples from revered wineries and breweries, toss in a popular location, sprinkle on a great crowd and ice it all with an important community cause.

Voilà. You’ve got the makings for one of the city’s most delectable parties, Bon Appetit Ottawa. Driven by the local hospitality sector, this gourmet charitable event is dedicated to combatting hunger and poverty in the region.  Proceeds support a variety of charities, with a focus on hunger relief and help for children and the elderly.

Slated for Tuesday, May 5, at the Aberdeen Pavilion, Lansdowne Park, Bon Appetit makes for a great evening out or date night, sans kids. It runs from 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. and restaurants, caterers, breweries, wineries and other food and drink artisans will provide samples.
