Explore the world of traditional dance

Are you homeschooler looking for an enriching activity for your crew? Plan to attend an intergenerational dance gathering called All Join Hands! It’s taking place Friday, January 25 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the main hall at Sandy Hill Community Centre, 250 Somerset Street East.

This daytime community dance is open to people of all ages and no previous folk dance experience is necessary—only the willingness to learn in a supportive, respectful, and accepting environment. You can expect to have fun too!

The event is hosted by Joie de Vivre Folk Dancers and participants will learn traditional community dances of Canada, the U.S., Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and beyond.  The dance is open to people over the age of three and cost is $5 per person. For details, check joiedevivreottawa.wordpress.com or call Susan Barker at 613 729-1515.
