Experience the wonders of Ottawa’s cultural scene this weekend during the annual Culture Days. From today, Friday, October 2 through Sunday, October 4, you can check out over 140 free activities, from handbuilding with clay at Gladstone Clayworks Cooperative to cabaret performances at Orpheus Musical Theatre Society.

Local destinations ranging from library branches to local and national museums have special events on tap for you to enjoy. At the NAC, 53 Elgin Street, you can actually sing your heart out, karaoke-style, while accompanied by a live band of top-notch Ottawa musicians!

There’s also tons of other fun to be had at the National Arts Centre. Highlights include backstage tours, clown acting and dance workshops, music for young children, a photography exhibit and karaoke.

At Arts Court, 2 Daly Avenue, you’ll discover workshops, live performances and opportunities to get creative.

In Bells Corners, at Nepean Creative Arts Centre (35 Stafford Road), there’s live theatre, music and dance, plus everything from printmaking, photography and hand drumming to a sing-along.

In Orleans, at the Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Boulevard, you’ll enjoy workshops, exhibits, storytelling, a drumming circle and lots more.

At the Nepean Visual Arts Centre, 1701 Woodroffe Avenue, painting and pottery are on the schedule and at Ottawa Little Theatre there’s an open rehearsal.
