Remember the song Stay (I Missed You) from the film Reality Bites?
I only hear what I want to
And you say
I talk so all the time, so..”
Released in 1994, it was a platinum-selling Number 1 hit song that launched the career of Lisa Loeb, the first (and still only) artist to have a Number 1 single while not signed to a recording contract.
Since then, the Brown University graduate and mother of two has also done film, television and five very popular children’s recordings.
And now she’s coming to Ottawa.
Parents who still remember all the words to her breakout song, Stay, can share the pleasure with the younger set. Since these days Lisa has plenty of children’s songs in her repertoire, the whole family can enjoy a show by the guitar-playing music star.
Lisa is in concert Saturday, February 18 at 2 p.m. at Centrepointe Theatre.
An all-ages sing-along, it will feature songs from Lisa’s new release Nursery Rhyme Parade! plus others including her hit, The Disappointing Pancake.
