Established since 1977, The Stairwell Carollers is an a cappella Ottawa choir that was formed by its director Pierre Massie, a music graduate of the University of Ottawa. The choral group has earned the distinction of being ranked amongst the best of Ottawa choirs by local choral critics. Its repertoire encompasses sacred and secular songs from the Renaissance period. At this time of year, the choir bring focus to the true meaning of Christmas with its beautiful interpretations of traditional Christmas carols.

This year, the Stairwell Carollers’ concert series features a new carol composed Pierre Massie. The song’s title, Verbum Patris umanatur, means: The Father’s word is made man.

Christmas 2015 performances are dedicated to Sir David Willcocks, who passed away in September at age 95.
