The Linda Jamieson School of Dance (LJSD) is presenting The Nutcracker at Algonquin Commons Theatre from December 7 through December 9. The show has been an annual tradition for the Kanatabased dance school for over two decades and what makes this version of the classic so special is that it showcases dancers from right here in Ottawa. If your own grandchildren aren’t part of the cast, you might know — or know of — some talented youngster who’ll have an opportunity to shine. Linda Jamieson, a retired high school teacher who was at the front of area classrooms for 40 years, continues to nurture local kids who love to dance.
