With just seven Saturdays left before Santa takes a slide down that chimney, it’s time to pull the wish lists out and get going. Thanks to the Canadian Toy Testing Council (CTTC)’s annual report, you can make smart choices that’ll thrill the kids and make you happy too.

 

The CTTC’s Children’s Choice award winners are the top toys of the year that have been selected by the most important raters – children. These toys have the kind of proven appeal that’ll earn huge smiles and loads of playtime.

 

CHILDREN’S CHOICE

For the younger set, these toys are tops:

  • Robot Invasion by Bloco

The CTTC’s Best Bets for 2014 list includes 32 toys “that testers have consistently rated as top notch in areas of assembly, design, function, durability and safety,” as it notes at toy-testing.org. Highlights include:
