3 on 3 in the 613

3 on 3

Carleton University is the spot to be Saturday, October 8.

The place will be hoppin and boppin as 120+ teams lace up for Ottawa’s largest  3 on 3 basketball tournament and Urban Jam: 3 on 3 in the 613. Yes, it’s a big deal. It’s also a fundraiser in support of Ausome Ottawa and Hera Mission.

The basketball action will include players of all ages and levels, from novice kids’ through men’s and women’s elite teams. If you’ve got basketball fans in the family, they won’t want to miss the chance to see pro dunker Jordan Kilganon in action.  Rolling Stone calls the 23-year-old sensation from Sudbury “the dude who dunked in jeans.” And goes on to note, “After wowing the NBA’s best players with his spectacular slam during the All-Star Game, the pro dunker says no denim can hold him.”

See for yourself.

DJs–including DJ Mace, live graffiti art, African cultural performances, skills competitions, urban gear and food trucks are also part of the October 8 action.

On the sport side, the tournament will include male and female divisions, and teams (with three to five players) will play at least three games.

There’s still time to register a team. In fact, there’s a corporate challenge too.

You win just by getting involved. The HERA Mission of Canada works with women who are leading development projects that empower widows, children and grandmothers in Western Kenya.

Ausome Ottawa is an organization that’s dedicated to enriching the lives of families living with autism through sport.
