Change is Good

Since May of 2013 there have been many changes in my life. I quit my job at the bank and decided to work full-time with my husband’s company while keeping up with nutrition clients on the side. We moved from our 700-square-foot condo in downtown Toronto to three acres in the country. We sold our BMW sports car and bought an SUV. And now, we’re expecting our first baby in May! Sometimes we joke and say it’s like we’re in the witness protection program and have taken on other people’s lives.

All the change was difficult at first, but like anything, adapting just takes time. Our new house now feels like our home, and I’m so excited for what 2014 will bring.

You’ve probably noticed that my blog posts have changed since I stopped studying and travelling. I still have a love and passion for nutrition and healthy living, but I don’t have as much of a specific focus in terms of what I’m writing about. I’m not sure what my new focus will be, but I still love writing and don’t want to stop. I’m sure I will figure out a new focus over the next few months or after the baby is born, but in the meantime I hope you’ll bear with me, and keep reading!

Over the next few months I plan to continue sharing health tips with a bit of a pregnancy and new mom twist. I intend to write about what I learned in my detox workshop, with a focus on hormonal imbalance, and also to share new recipes. I have a lot of good ones that I can’t wait to try: beet curry, beet fries, brown rice pudding and slow cooker chicken curry. Stay tuned!
