Now in its 40th year, this popular Cap City festival celebrates the dynamic history of the local Italian-Canadian community, with its rich heritage of food, music, sports and the arts. Check it out! As part of the Settimana Italiana (Italian Festival) 40th anniversary celebrations, Italian crooner Patrizio Buanne will perform one show only at Centrepointe Theatre June 11 at 8 p.m. It’s his first public concert in Ottawa. A baritone singer, songwriter and producer, Buanne was born in Vienna, Austria, and while he began singing and entertaining at an early age, in 2004 he fulfilled a dream to record a collection of romantic songs from the Italian songbook. In the decade since, Patrizio has recorded seven albums and sold millions. This international star is noted for his good looks, easygoing charm, versatility and engaging performances.
