Jenna Glatt onstage at the Ottawa Jazz Fest

Getting your jazz on this weekend? There are tons of great shows in the lineup for the Ottawa Jazz Festival. Today’s lineup (Friday, June 26) includes The Jivewires on the Laurier Avenue Music Stage in Marion Dewar Plaza at noon, Rebecca Noelle on the same stage at 7:30 p.m. and Joel Plaskett Emergency on the main stage at Confederation Park at 8:30 p.m.

The lineup tomorrow (Saturday, June 27) includes Caridad Cruz on the Laurier Avenue Music Stage in Marion Dewar Plaza at noon, trio DEF (Drouin/Eagles/Froman) on the same stage at 2 p.m., and Ottawa’s own Jenna Glatt on the main stage in Confederation Park at 6:30 p.m.

Ottawa’s own Jenna Glatt is onstage at 6:30 p.m. in Confederation Park Saturday.

A multi-award-winning singer, songwriter and musician, Jenna has performed live at music festivals and on television and radio programs across North America. Although she’s been entertaining crowds since she was a kid, Jenna recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA where she was accepted with double-scholarship and is now an Ambassador for the school.
She released two celebrated jazz CDs when she was in her teens and her third album contains all original music. This Ottawa show will feature Jenna and her sensational R&B/Pop band in a show of soulful, funky, rhythmic, jazz-inspired, and energetic contemporary music. You don’t want to miss it.

Jenna Glatt’s show is followed, at 8:30 p.m., by Snarky Puppy on the main stage in Confederation Park. In collaboration with Lalah Hathaway, Snarky Puppy won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance in 2014. Thanks to a revolving cast of members, this musical collective includes as many as a dozen and a half performers.

Highlights of the lineup Sunday, June 28, include MacKenzie Rhythm Section on the Laurier Avenue Music Stage in Marion Dewar Plaza at noon, Los Gringos on the same stage at 2 p.m. and Beirut on the main stage in Confederation Park at 8:30 p.m. For tickets and details, see ottawajazzfestival.com.
