Fun times are in store for the whole family August 24 and 25 at Kids Fest on Sparks Street. Running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, this street festival celebrates children, their families and the community.
Geared to kids aged four to 14, the weekend’s festivities will include games, live entertainment and loads of appealing displays.
Get in the zone
During Kids Fest, Sparks Street will have different zones you can explore, such as Science and Technology, Safety, Arts and Crafts and Athletics and Activities. Each of the zones will offer games and activities, displays and demonstrations, as well as registration booths for local athletics, arts lessons and afterschool programs.
Kids of all ages will get a kick out of the Safety Zone. Local firefighters, police and paramedics will be on hand and offering some valuable help for families, from fire safety tips to child finger printing and identification cards.
For the grownups on the street, there’ll also be a Parents Zone where they can relax and read Ottawa Family Living Magazine! How fun is that?
