Florence lives in downtown Ottawa. Once a month, she treats herself to an escape at Nordik with her friend Jeanne to relax, to forget the stress of work, and to pamper herself. Over time, the two friends have developed a little ritual: a large coffee on the terrace to start, followed by the Nordic baths, where they talk about the goings-on in their lives in a private and happy atmosphere. After their massage – Swedish for Florence, Californian for Jeanne – the two ladies treat themselves to a gourmet break at the spa’s restaurant. It’s there that they meet Isabel.
Isabelle is from Montreal. Radiant in her twenties, she is getting married in ten days and has chosen to come to Nordik with her friends for her bachelorette party. She had been dreaming for months of pampering, treating and indulging herself. They arrived yesterday evening and spent the night in the Nordik Lodge, a large, modern chalet that is absolutely divine. Today is the day for treatments … and Isabel has every intention of treating herself to the works: Nordic baths, message, face and foot treatments; she wants to live every moment to the fullest. For her, life’s greatest adventure starts here.
While Isabel is preparing for the baths, a group of young professionals is setting up in the Salle Boréal. Newly hired by a big company in the region, they are there to get to know each other and to learn about the corporate culture. The ambiance of the spa puts them at ease: the day is off to a good start. After the conferences and workshops, they can relax in the Nordic baths. Comfort after exercise.
