Happy #WineFriday folks! Here is a gem of a wine hailing from our very own backyard in Wine Country, Ontario. Check out five reasons why Sue-Ann Staff’s Loved by Lu Riesling is our #wineoftheweek:
LCBO Vintages #322636 | $16.95
1 – It’s full of flavour. The aromas are intense! Honey, lemon and a funky hint of vinyl aromas smack you right off the bat. The palate shows delectable fruit concentration, off-dry sweetness and mouthwatering acidity. The key flavours include lemon zest, granny smith apple, honey and a touch of salty minerality.
2 – This lovely wine is crafted by the very talented Sue-Ann Staff in the Niagara Escarpment. She is a fifth generation winemaker, grape grower and proprietor of Sue-Ann Staff Winery. Her estate has been in her family for over two hundred years.
3 – As always, I aim to find the best quality for value in wines. This wine is no different. This Riesling has loads of character from strong a Canadian heritage and speaks volumes of the world class potential in the Niagara Escarpment; all at a great bang for your buck!
4 – This juicy mouth-watering wine pairs very well with Asian stir fries, Thai curries and scrumptious fried seafood dishes.
5 – This crisp medium bodied Riesling makes for a great wine pick to toast to the start of Winterlude!
